We’re all the heroes of our own stories. Inspired by cinematography, I capture your memories so they have a movie-like feel. When you’re in my photographs, you’re the hero of your story.
I’m Craig. I’ve been shooting since 2010. I grew up in Scotland and moved to Brisbane in 2013. I live on Brisbane’s bayside with my wife and two boys.
I’ll shoot for almost any event you like but let’s focus on a biggie – your wedding day. I’m easy going and as far as I’m concerned, if you bring me along to your wedding I’m there to have fun! When I’m having fun, my couples are having fun. You can relax that I’ll document your day and simply go along with the groove. Weddings are big important days, but they’re also fun days, and that’s the main thing I keep in mind when I’m at your wedding.

My style and process
I’ve practiced and refined my workflow to perform and deliver as efficiently as possible without compromising quality. That means what I capture ‘in camera’ will be very close to what you receive; simply subject to high level bulk adjustments to deliver my style. I describe my style as classic, not heavily filtered or altered, candid documentary. I’ll cherry pick the use black and white to draw focus to emotion in reaction shots. Happy laughs and happy tears.
Typically, I’ll provide you with nearly all the photos I’ve taken: after I’ve reviewed and removed any that don’t meet my quality, or have too many closed eyes in the group shots! I don’t have any target number of images like other photographers, so I’m not busy ‘aiming for a number’.
I’ll provide your photos via a secure OneDrive folder link, to download at both their full resolution for printing yourself, and at a lower resolution suitable for sharing online without losing any detail.
I choose at my discretion which photos to spend extra time ‘retouching’. That is to say, making sure they are the best they can be and reflect the mood and intent of the scene at the time. Typically these are the ‘hero’ shots: like the ones from your couple shoot after the ceremony. This all adds up so you’re not also paying for extra hours of post processing typical among photographers, who may explicitly state how many images they’ll retouch.
Even though I’m happy to be left to my own initiative, I still invite you to show me what kind of photos you like. I’ve worked with brides who have a certain “look” in mind, and most of the time this is simply a readily available filter applied in Adobe Lightroom. Sometimes it’s as simple as bulk desaturating a colour like green, which is no dramas at all. I’m yours at the end of the day, and I’ll let you know if there’s anything I can’t do.
